I often find myself sitting in my room wasting my time watching Netflix and I miss that leisure. Some musicians might be familiar with the term hell week, well I have been having my personal hell weeks. In these two weeks that is not yet complete I have taken the GRE, made a banner and made a musical playlist for the Pre Vet dog wash, fought with a cold and still have two exams I have yet to complete.
The GRE went well, from just my math and English scores I am pretty average at 66% where I am spectacular at with a 77% and suck at English at a 56%. I am still waiting for the writing section report.
The dog wash yesterday was very physically draining in that I woke up at 6 in the morning for a 9am start and then worked until 4. I found it fun to be able to handle fluffy puppies that didn’t require care and I got royally soaked while cleaning them.
I was in charge of preparing a musical playlist for the dog wash and I knew as a city girl my playlist was going to be full of pop songs but Montana is country land. With this I asked for another person to help me and needless to say, she didn’t like my music nor did I like hers but we collaborated to find a playlist that the customers would enjoy.
With my tenacious and unpredictable advisor Becky at the wheel, the previous historian Kelli and I were given the job to create a banner for the dog wash in a week and a half. Running around looking for a business to donate a banner, and creating a design each, life grew a little hectic. We eventually chose my design for the banner and Staples provided the cheapest service with same day printing. It turned out rather well and it was quite cheap and people complimented it at the dog wash (except everyone thought it was Kelli’s design but I never corrected the mistake).
After the dog wash, Sophie and I went to return the towels to the shelter we borrowed that she works at. While we were waiting for the washer to be emptied to start the cleaning of the towels she gave me a tour of the facilities and I got to get my hands on adorable fluffies who I now want to take home with me.
With the end of the school year I am itching to start packing but this week I have to focus on my animal anatomy and physiology lecture exam and my biochem lab. Biochem lab has been a thorn in my side as I understand the material fairly well but when it comes to the exam the most random questions pop out of the wood work that just kicks my butt. I have two exams left and one score will be dropped so I am hoping to pull off at least an A- but walking into college and jumping into organic chemistry and biochemistry is not looking very well on my science GPA regardless of my skills in math and science.
Well for now I will go back to studying my digestive and respiratory systems. Happy (late by one day) Birthday my brother James.
