What a Day at Work

Today was a very interesting day to say the least. On Saturday, I painted the bathroom at A-Veterinary Hospital in preparation for renovations of an isolation ward. When applying the paint, it was a lighter color then what was previously there and required a second coat which I finished today but my original plan for my Sunday was to spend it at work volunteering to the spay and neuter clinic it had become. TT animal shelter has an agreement of sorts with Doctor K that one Sunday every so often; they bring their animals to the clinic to be fixed at a reduced price as a community service deal.

I was planning on seeing most of the twenty one spays and neuters but as it turned out my painting took up a majority of my time and when I was not painting I was cleaning multitudes of surgical packs since our packs are limited to around eleven packs when all are clean. Needless to say I never saw one complete surgery what with all my running about but only bits ends and piece when I took breaks from the fumes and heat of the small painted bathroom. The bathroom looks fantastically better which I will be proud of and I was reassured that my cleaning and restocking was of a major help to my coworkers, however I missed much experience in the surgery room so I plan on being fully present and efficient the next time on march 9th.
